about DR. Fontan

Dr. Fontan is a licensed psychologist whose private practice is based out of Union Square in New York City.  Dr. Fontan is dedicated to working with a diverse client population and to addressing a broad range of mental health concerns.  He specializes in helping adults of all ages with anxiety, depression, relationships issues, addictions, career related stress, life transitions, culture and identity, and stress management.  His approach to therapy is collaborative and involves the integration of cognitive and psychodynamic models in order to meet the unique needs of each client. 

Dr. Fontan has more than 15 years experience working in the mental health field, and his past clinical experience includes positions at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, The New York Neurological Institute, Jacobi Medical Center, and the VA system.  Dr. Fontan has also served as an adjunct professor at Fordham University and John Jay College.
